Hello, in very few days we enter in summer!! Sun, water and fun!!!

Before you go to holidays, we want to explain you what we have done in the ICTs class during the year. For that,  I have made with Irati a presentation in google drive. As you know we have used different programs, Glogster, Mindmap, Hotpotatoes, Dotsub... As a homework we recommend you to investigate about different internet tools and pages, you have to be qualified to study maths, chemistry, language and biology  in a more easy way for the next year. While you drink a milkshake in your hammock you can navigate in internet ! Take a rubber ring and have a good summer!!

Good afternoon Rihanna and Shakira fans!!!

The spring is ending and the summer is knocking on the door!! Have you started in preparing your summer looks, swimsuits, rubber rings, sunglasses, towels, the green flippers of your grandmother, the wide brimmed sun hat, goggles, the fishing rod, the parasol, and the mythical  milkshakes, I like  all milkshakes, but specially the one made with strawberry, I am sure that you like someone and Shakira and Rihanna  have their favorite also. In the same way that I had my favorite milkshake, I have also a favorite song, " can´t remember to forget you", here you have some information, taste it!

Irati and me have been working in the application dotsub transcribing the song " Can't remember to forget you" and translating it into five languages, Basque, English, French, Italian and Spanish! We got registered in it and then we copied and downloaded the video from youtube into the video translating page. Then we transcribed it and for that we put the exact duration of each lyric sentence, listening to the video and using the correct bottoms of dotsub. Then we translate it into Basque and later in other languages.

I think that it is very enriching for all the people to know this page, in the future the technologies will be very important and in our labor we will have to introduce our projects using the videos instead of using the blackboard, so it is very interesting dotsub. In the other side the program allows you putting in contact with other languages, that you don't know even that they exist, because  estimates of the number of languages in the world vary between 6,000 and 7,000, however I only know the five  percent of all the languages. You can also put in contact with your friends of foreign countries and familiars. Finally you can study the principal words to do the greeting, to thank, to say goodbye or to forgive. Now I can say goodbye in Spanish, adios, in Basque, agur, in French, au revoir and in Italian ciao!

I like the exotic voice and the perfect vocalization of Shakira, it picks up a voice with Lebanese , Spanish and Italian roots and it is fantastic, it has  also a rounded pronunciation, and comes well with the deep and determined voice of Rihanna, the two girls make a big explosion with their union decorated with swimsuits, cigars, bed posts and nighties. Shakira is a girl from  La Barranquilla,  a small city located in Colombia, she makes a lot of collaborations to help children that live in underdeveloped countries, she become very famous with the consciousness of taking part in the world cup in Africa with the sing "Waka Waka". Her videos are vary enjoyable because the fresh ethnic dances, colorful clothing and children participation. However Rihanna, from Barbados, is a more radical singer in the musical side and her voice doesn't transmit so much feelings, it is more indifferent and cold. At the time of her debut she was marketed like reggae singer because she has Caribbean descend , but little by little, while she expanded the burdens of her musical career, she started singing themes with characteristics of hip-hop, dance-pop, dubstep, rock and house.

Enjoy yourself the sing and have a good enter in the summertime!

Good windy afternoon!

Now that we have entered in the springtime, strawberry fields forever, laying in the grass looking in the sky, flowers everywhere, honeybees looking at pollen, water boom, the sunrise and the nightfall , and for that you have to be informed about the animals, insects, fish, and so on, for that we have done a type of competition in the program hot potatoes, it is about weird and unusual things about 20 different animals, there are all kind of facts, coats, rectangular eyes, movements... It is important to know if some of these animals appear you in the beach and in the case that you don't know what to do, this competition can help you, so,

3,2,1,0, start and god luck!! The summer is knocking in the screen! Click  here !

STOP CHILD ABUSE

1, 2, 3, 4 every second a child dies in the world, every second a dream breaks on the horizon, every second a smile disappears, every second a child  becomes an orphan, every seconds a star shines, every second  a tear drop falls down in the face of the parents, every second...

We have to stop this, we have to  change and build from the bottom up our future that will be our children. 168 million children work in labor, 85 million are in  hazardous work. Half world doesn't know what happens everyday in the countries that are in the way of developing. Child marriages in India, slavering by the multinationals like tech companies Apple and Hewlett, child soldiers, child abuse, child prostitution-

And all this added without education, without wealth... They had robbed the life of the children, we have to collaborate against child labor, for example pressure from human rights groups, consumers, and international trade unions led the group overseeing the World Cup (FIFA—Federation Internationale de Football Association) to adopt a Code in 1998 stating it would cease using soccer balls made with child labor.

        POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
a)Our first solution is to create more unions to protect and prevent against child labor.

b) If we can help these families come out of poverty and get a steady money income, more and more children won't have to work in these type of conditions.

c) If we can change how the people see what child labor does to the children, more people will be determined to stop it and want to help.

d) Our final  solution is  to stop and prevent child labor is to give education to these children.

One in six children from the ages of 5-14 worldwide are in child labor. We have to recuperate the happy smile of 168 children.1, 2, 3 START!

                                                       A  DREAMED WISH

"I always dreamt of having and bringing up my own children. But I never met that special guy,  -  at least, I thought I did (years ago), but he wasn't committed.  Sometimes I wished I had tricked him into making me pregnant.  I'm too old to bear children now, and I couldn't afford to bring any up alone, so it's no good adopting (I'm still single).  However, I do work with children, which as some compensations."

This is the voice of a lot of women around the world.Have you thought in the impotence that one mother has when she can't have a baby?? If you haven't been in this situation, you are not going to realise it, it is very difficult to put your mind in this situation. Sometimes we think that it is not a big problem, that this is a simple whim, but as you know humans would be very selfish, not for us but sometimes yes for the rest of the population. Fortunately we have a lot of involved people in the physiology and the medicine and thanks to them some problems have been vanished in the air, like the teardrops that were slating in the face of this woman. They have done a big development in the last years in the problem of the fertilisation, the man who did a big step in this unknown world is Robert G. Edwards, pioneer in reproductive medicine and in-vitro fertilisation. Looking for the winners of the Nobel prizes we have found different people winner of different themes, like physics, chemistry, literature, peace, economics, and the last which I have chosen, physiology and medicine. I recommend you to investigate in your own about the invent of the future but before starting the exploration here you have the open door to the mysteries of the creator of the in-vitro reproduction.

The birth of Louise Brown, the world's first 'test-tube baby', at 11:47 pm on 25 July 1978 at the Oldham General Hospital made medical history: in vitro fertilisation meant a new way to help infertile couples who formerly had no possibility of having a baby.

In the in-vitro fertilisation, when medical conditions prevent the sperm from reaching the egg, our skilled physicians and laboratory staff are here to assist. Your eggs are retrieved, inseminated in our lab with semen from your partner or a donor, and then inserted back into your uterus as embryos. While every woman's cycle is unique, the following is a general outline of the steps involved during a cycle of in vitro fertilisation.

Sir Robert Geoffrey Edwards, was an English physiologist and pioneer in this in-vitro fertilisation. With surgeon Patrick Steptoe, he founded  the first IVF program for infertile patients and trained other scientists in their techniques. Edwards was the founding editor in chief of Human reproduction in 1986. In 2010, Edwards was awarded the Novel prize in physiology or medicine "for the development of in vitro fertilisation".

Edwards began his work in the late 1950s, conducting experiments with scientist (and Edwards' future wife) Ruth Fowler, in which they were able to alter the ovulation time in mice.

Edwards extracted human eggs and documented the time line of human egg maturation in his laboratory. In 1969 he accomplished the first fertilisation of a human egg outside a human body, and in 1972 he became the first scientist to implant an in vitro fertilised human egg in the womb. He conducted dozens of implantations over several years, yielding no pregnancies, as Edwards and Steptoe tinkered with the hormones and other conditions that could make the procedure lead to pregnancy. A late 1977 implantation led to the birth of Louise Brown, a normal, healthy child, the following summer.

IVF clinics play a vital role in infertile couple´s life. It is the only destination that provides them appropriate solution based on their exact solution of infertility. However, some couples seek natural remedies which also shown good results, but there is no evidence yet noticed on how these remedies work. Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, low sperm count, ovarian issues and other reproductive health problems are some major reasons that do no allow couple's to conceive naturally.

Since the birth of Louise Brown, refinements in technology have increased pregnancy rates and it is estimated that in 2010 about 4 million children have been born by IVF,with approximately 170,000 coming from donated oocyte and embryos. This has been a big step to the mysteries or the fertilisation problems, until nowadays this method has been very successful and because of that a lot of couple's had reached their dreams. The feeling of becoming parents is wordless, there is no a word that can describe this feeling in the moment you see your baby coming to the world. Every day you go out and see women pushing their strollers, and pregnant women are everywhere. Sometimes it feels as if it's all you see. You see what you need or want more when you want it so, and it's hard to see especially when you know that you cannot just make it happen.

This can be very heart breaking for the couples who are unable to conceive naturally, but we don't have to worry, we are not going to see the teardrops of the woman mentioned in the first lines, this has been finished, thanks to people like Robert G. Edwards, that make a smile from a sad look.

Here you have a video about the in-vitro fertilisation that can help you.

Good morning readers!!

We have entered in the winter!! The mind maps are diagrams used to classify, visualize, generate and structure ideas and they are very useful for the students to make drawings. You are at home bored with the book in the front and looking from the window to the leaves falling from the trees?? I propose you to sign up an account in  mind42, to take a sweet cup of chocolate and with the honey in your lips to start doing a diagram. Later you will tell me if this method works!! If you want I have post my own mind map. Three, two, one...
